🧭 About the Conference
Q1 – What is INCOFIMS & INCOBIFS?
The 8th International Conference on Fisheries & Marine Sciences (INCOFIMS) and the International Conference on Biotechnology & Food Sciences (INCOBIFS) is a event (onsite) held in Bali, Indonesia, showcasing research in fisheries, marine, biotechnology, and food science.
Q2 – Why is the 2025 edition important?
This year’s theme focuses on sustainable aquatic development and blue‑economy innovation, reinforced by keynote speakers from Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, and Indonesia.
Q3 – When and where does it take place?
See Important Dates for the timeline and the Tentative Menu for the daily agenda. The onsite venue is Harris Hotel & Residences Sunset Road, Bali.
Q4 – Who organises the event?
Universitas Airlangga leads the Organising Committee with support from partner universities and four confirmed journal partners.

- Conference dates | 3 – 4 September 2025 (onsite in Bali)
- Full manuscript upload to partner journals | 5 September – 30 October 2025

- Final publication decisions | 1 March – 30 April 2026
📝 Abstract & Paper Submission
Q5 – What must my abstract include?
• Title, author names & affiliations
• Single paragraph ≤ 250 words (background, objective, methods, results, conclusion)
• 3–5 keywords

Q6 – Is the abstract required before the full paper?
Yes. Only authors with accepted abstracts & completed registration may upload a full paper.
Q7 – Full‑text checklist before upload
1. Conference template, ≤ 8 000 words
2. Turnitin < 15 %
3. Ethics approval (if relevant)
4. Figures ≥ 600 dpi, tables editable
5. English proof‑read
Q8 – Journal‑specific rules?
Follow each journal’s Author Guidelines exactly. Links are provided in Paper Submission Guidelines.
Q9 – Page limits?
Conference max = 8 000 words; individual journals vary (see their guides).
Q10 – How many papers can I submit?
Up to two per registered author; each incurs its own fee.
Q11 – Can I submit work that is already published?
No. All submissions must be original and unpublished.
🔍 Peer Review & Revision
Q12 – Who reviews my paper?
After passing conference screening, the partner journal assigns ≥ 2 independent reviewers.
Q13 – Can I revise after review?
Yes—follow the reviewers’ comments, upload the revised file via the journal’s OJS, and attach a response letter.
Q14 – What if my file is returned as “non‑formatted”?
It failed template or style requirements. Correct the formatting and resubmit before the stated deadline.

Q16 – PowerPoint rules?
• .pptx format

• Submit to the PPT Team 7 days before the event.
Q17 – May I use my own laptop?
The committee strongly recommends using the provided laptop. Personal devices are accepted only after compatibility testing during registration.
💸 Registration & Fees
Q18 – What are the participant fees?

Q19 – Are journal APCs included?
No. APCs are paid directly to the journal once the paper is accepted. The conference never collects journal fees. See the APCs Intructionpage.
🏨 Travel & Accommodation
Q20 – Does the conference book hotels?
No, but a list of nearby hotels (incl. Harris Hotel Sunset Road, Bali) with special rates is posted under Accommodation.
⚖️ Ethics & Policies
Q21 – Which ethics guidelines apply?
All submissions follow COPE standards. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, and data fabrication are grounds for rejection.
