Background

The International Conference on Vocational Innovation and Applied Sciences (ICVIAS) is an annual event organized by Universitas Airlangga's Faculty of Vocational Studies. Driven by the Faculty's vision to become an independent, innovative, and leading institution acting as a pioneer in the development of applied sciences based on religious morality, ICVIAS serves as a dynamic bridge linking vocational education with broader innovation ecosystems. Now in its 8th year, the conference gathers a diverse mix of TVET academics, students, industry leaders, certification bodies (LSP), incubators, and public-sector professionals to exchange applied research and practical innovations.

While academic events in Indonesia traditionally focus heavily on journal publications, ICVIAS is breaking that mold. We are evolving into a practice-based hub where networking, cross-sector collaboration, and real-world problem-solving take precedence over standard paper presentations.

Guided by the theme Applied Digital Innovation for Work-Ready Solutions,” our primary goal is to turn academic research into tangible assets. We strive to connect TVET institutions with industry and communities, ensuring that technological advancements result in functional prototypes, optimized workflows, and measurable service improvements
