The International Conference on Vocational Innovation and Applied Sciences (ICVIAS) is an annual international conference hosted by the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Airlangga, serving as a platform to connect vocational higher education communities with broader innovation ecosystems. Now in its 8th edition, ICVIAS brings together TVET educators and students, researchers, industry partners, certification bodies (LSP), incubators/accelerators, and public-service organizations to share applied research, teaching innovations, and real-world implementations.

As conference participation in Indonesia has often been driven primarily by publication motives, ICVIAS is being further strengthened as a practice-based hub that prioritizes collaboration, networking, and solution-oriented engagement, beyond paper presentations alone.

Aligned with the theme “Applied Digital Innovation for Work-Ready Solutions” and the sub-theme “Connecting TVET, industry, and communities through practice-based innovation and measurable impact,” ICVIAS highlights how technology, information, and innovation translate into competencies, prototypes, improved workflows, and measurable service outcomes. Through keynote and thematic sessions, a Meet-the-Editors & Reviewers clinic, poster and project showcases, and the Industry Problem–Solution Meeting and Student Challenge Competition, ICVIAS aims to foster meaningful connectivity and sustainable partnerships that support workforce readiness and community impact.
