Background

Global public health is currently facing increasingly complex challenges, ranging from the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), anti-microbial resistance, climate change, to the threat of future pandemics. On the other hand, advances in digital health technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovations in health policy have opened up great opportunities to build more resilient and adaptive health systems. WHO emphasizes the importance of innovative approaches in addressing health challenges, including the strengthening of health innovation ecosystems through cross-sector cooperation and the use of digital technology.

In facing this challenge, the 9th International Symposium of Public Health and 1st International Conference of Epidemiology Public Health (ICoEPH) carries the theme "Revolutionizing Public Health: Innovations and Strategies for a Resilient Future". This activity aims to bridge the gap between innovation and implementation of evidence-based health policies, while strengthening the public health innovation ecosystem. The main focus of this activity is to discuss how innovations in digital health services, technology-based health policies, and data-driven approaches can be effectively applied to improve health system resilience.

Along with the development of a global digital health strategy, WHO encourages the implementation of technology-based solutions that can improve access and quality of health services, such as telemedicine, big data analytics, and integrated health information systems. Therefore, ISoPH-9 and ICoEPH to be held in 2025 will be a platform for academics, health practitioners, policy makers, and industry sectors to share experiences, showcase the latest research results, and build collaborations in order to accelerate the transformation of public health.

The main objective of this activity is to design a sustainable health innovation implementation strategy, strengthen synergies between the public and private sectors, and encourage the implementation of evidence-based policies to create a more adaptive and responsive health system to global change. By presenting various perspectives from international experts, this symposium is expected to produce concrete recommendations that can be applied in health policies in various countries.

Based on this background, the Public Health Doctoral Study Program of Universitas Airlangga and Diponegoro University will hold the 9th International Symposium of Public Health and 1st International Conference of Epidemiology Public Health (ICoEPH) with the theme "Revolutionizing Public Health: Innovations and Strategies for a Resilient Future".

Join us at ISoPH-9 and ICoEPH 2025 and be part of shaping the future of global public health through innovation, collaboration, and shared vision.
