Background
Advances in public health science are no longer determined solely by the quality of research, but also by the capacity to build international collaboration and to produce reputable scientific publications that contribute meaningfully to global health development. Amid the growing complexity of global health challenges, including climate change, non-communicable diseases, emerging infectious diseases, inequities in access to health services, and digital transformation, there is a pressing need for academic forums that serve not merely as venues for knowledge exchange, but also as platforms that generate collaboration, innovation, and high-quality scientific outputs.
As part of Universitas Airlangga, one of Indonesia’s leading universities, the Faculty of Public Health has consistently organized the International Symposium of Public Health (ISoPH), an international scientific forum that brings together academics, researchers, health professionals, government agencies, industry, and other national and international institutions. For its tenth edition, ISoPH adopts the theme “Transforming Global Health Through Integrated and Multidisciplinary Approaches Toward Sustainable Development Goals,” which underscores the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in addressing global health challenges.
As a follow-up to the symposium, the International Post-Conference Academic Writing Bootcamp is being held as an intensive program designed to strengthen participants’ capacity to produce scientific articles of international quality. The program covers the conduct of systematic reviews and meta-analyses, the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in scholarly publishing, and strategies for publishing in reputable Scopus-indexed international journals.
