The 5th International Conference on Islamic Economics, Business, Philanthropy, and PhD Colloquium (ICIEBP) 2026

Welcome, participants! To assist your travel planning to ICIEBP 2026 in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, we have compiled comprehensive routes, transit points, and arrival hubs for both international and domestic participants.

The conference venue, Kampus B Universitas Airlangga (Faculty of Economics and Business), is located in the Gubeng district of central Surabaya, close to the city's main railway station, business district, and Grand City Mall.

Routes to Surabaya

The following transportation options are available from overseas and other regions of Indonesia to Surabaya:

Recommended Routes

⚡ Fastest Route (International Participants)

Fly directly to Surabaya (SUB) if a direct international connection is available, or transit through Jakarta (CGK). From Juanda International Airport, the venue and recommended hotels around Grand City Mall can be reached within 45–60 minutes by taxi, ride-hailing service, or the DAMRI airport bus.

🚆 Recommended Route (Domestic Participants – Java)

Participants traveling from other cities in Java are encouraged to use intercity trains arriving at Surabaya Gubeng Station, which is only 1–2 km from the conference venue and within walking/short ride-hailing distance of the recommended hotels near Grand City Mall.

🚌 Budget Route (Domestic Participants)

Intercity buses arriving at Purabaya (Bungurasih) Terminal can connect to the city center via Trans Semanggi Suroboyo (Surabaya's Bus Rapid Transit), taxi, or ride-hailing service.

Local Transportation in Surabaya

●     Ride-hailing services: Gojek and Grab are widely available and are the most convenient way to travel between the airport, railway stations, hotels, and the conference venue.

●     Airport bus: DAMRI operates a scheduled shuttle bus service from Juanda International Airport to central Surabaya (Purabaya Terminal / city drop-off points).

●     Taxi: Metered taxis (e.g. Blue Bird) are available at the airport, train stations, and bus terminal, as well as via mobile app.

●     Bus Rapid Transit (BRT): Trans Semanggi Suroboyo serves several corridors across the city and can be used as an affordable alternative for short distances.

●     Local trains (Commuter Line / KA Lokal): Useful for participants staying near Surabaya Gubeng or Pasar Turi stations and traveling within the Surabaya–Sidoarjo area.

Juanda International Airport (SUB) is located approximately 20–25 km from the conference venue and the recommended hotels around Grand City Mall, about 45–60 minutes by car depending on traffic. Participants are advised to arrange transportation in advance, particularly for late-night or early-morning arrivals.
